Hi guys,
My name is Ellie Gulbransen and I'm going to be at Yikes everyday these holidays!
I am from Nelson but I currently live in Christchurch. I am studying towards a bachelor of teaching and learning at Canterbury University.
Before moving to Christchurch I worked at a kindergarten in Nelson for 2 years. I love working with children and am super excited for these holidays!

We plan and prepare a schedule but the actual programme evolves with the personality of the children coming and the friendships that develop. So our programme ends up being better than what's "on paper". Most of our children are children who return each holidays. If Nelson were first to get the fastest internet speed in the Southern Hemisphere then it will bring great profile and economic development to our region.Yikes wants to take part to support our community. Some quick facts In 1969 Walter Kronkyte named Chattanooga the most polluted city in the US. Last year Chattanooga was ranked first for economic growth potential. They have the fasted internet speeds in the whole country O/seas companies set up in their town. Tour Guide Training

Today we are learning in our Computer Session how to be a good tour guide. We have learnt that: A good guide is sensitive to the needs of others. A good guide is well organized. A good guide has knowledge of the local area. So we are learning to use Google search to gather information.
